Most Downloaded Review Recognized

The most downloaded min-review published in Cell Stress & Chaperones in 2012 was recognized at the Sixth International Symposium on Heat Shock Proteins in Biology and Medicine, held in Old Town, Alexandria, Virginia in early November.  The review entitled “Regulation of Survival Gene hsp70″, authored by Jordan Silver and Earl Noble has had more than 300 full-text downloads.  This metric allows rapid identification of journal and individual paper usage and is used by many journals including ours now in preference to citation numbers that are based on on two to three years old data.  Jordan Silver accepted the award that included a travel award, certificates of recognition and a bottle of single malt.  The latter harks back to the origins of Cell Stress & Chaperones first published by Churchill Livingstone Publishers in Edinburgh.
