1.  Advice on how to write and publish a scientific paper

Managing Editor Helen Neumann and Editor-in-Chief Larry Hightower1. Advice on how to write and submit a manuscript

On several occasions I have been asked to speak to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows about writing journal manuscripts.  The audience seemed to find these sessions useful so Helen and I decided to gather together our experiences over a combined thirty years of journal editing into the practical guide presented under the menu item Editor.  We will update sporadically and welcome comments and suggestions.

2.  Practical Publishing Ethics

In this essay, we include Practical Publishing Ethics, based on an annual presentation that Helen and I give to graduate students at the University of Connecticut.

3.  Selecting commercial antibodies that recognize extra-cellular human Hsp70A1A

A recurring issue with manuscripts submitted to CSAC is the choice of antibodies to detect extra-cellular Hsp70.  This essay is an excerpt from a review article published by Professor Multhoff and me:   Distinguishing integral and receptor-bound heat shock protein 70 (Hsp70) on the cell surface by Hsp70-specific antibodies.  Multhoff, G. and Hightower, LE.  2010.  Cell Stress Chaperones, DOI 10.1007/s12192-010-0247-1.
